She supports clients dealing with a range of issues such as (but not limited to) addiction, PTSD, cPTSD, anxiety, depression, worry, self-harm, stress, self-esteem and confidence, and resilience. Melanie adopts best practice treatment through a trauma informed care approach, believing it is important to create an environment of non-judgement, respect, and safety for clients to feel they can comfortably share their deepest thoughts and worries. She also provides assessments, diagnoses, and interventions to clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, ADHD, and developmental delays.

Melanie is well-conversed in a range of evidence-based strategies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). She also utilises the Polyvagal Theory combined with neurosequential model, attachment theory, and relational framework theory.
