About Our Practice

At Calder Psychology, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, warm space where both clients and practitioners thrive. We specialise in high-quality care and innovative therapeutic programs across all stages of life.

With our South Perth clinic established as a sanctuary for growth, our expansion into East Victoria Park brings fresh opportunities to collaborate with a wider network of medical professionals. At the core of our practice is an open, approachable, and collaborative culture that values connection, mutual respect, and a deep appreciation for every team member's unique contribution.

Our Therapeutic Approach

We recognise that client care isn't one-size-fits-all. Our practice brings together diverse therapeutic frameworks, blending the deep relational, life-transition, and well-being focus of a counselling psychologist with structured diagnostic and behavioural interventions. This multidisciplinary approach ensures our clients receive holistic, tailored care across all stages of life.

Your Impact as a Career Psychologist

We believe in empowering our clinicians with clinical autonomy. At Calder Psychology, you aren't just filling a room, you are actively shaping your professional pathway through two core pillars of care:

1. Individual Therapy Sessions

Provide a safe, private, and confidential space where clients can explore their challenges. Using client-centred, evidence-based modalities (such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, or ACT), you will empower individuals to build resilience, develop healthy coping behaviours, and achieve their personal goals.

2. Group Therapy Programs

We expand our services by introducing innovative group therapy programs for children, adolescents, and adults. As a key member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to design, pilot, and implement your own group programs tailored to specific age groups or presenting concerns (e.g., anxiety management, emotional regulation, social skills, or parenting support).

We provide comprehensive backing, including resource allocation, professional facilities, and targeted marketing assistance to ensure your programs succeed.

See how your clinical passions can fit into our established care pathways.

What We Are Looking For

To maintain our high standard of community care, we are looking for dedicated professionals who possess:

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a psychologist (with or without a specific area of practice endorsement).

  • Relevant, recognised qualifications as a psychotherapist or mental health professional with a track record of evidence-based intervention.

  • Experience in group therapy facilitation, or a strong, demonstrable motivation to develop this skill set.

  • A strong commitment to client-centred care and accurate, timely case-noting and record-keeping.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build rapport with diverse client groups.

  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a recent National Police Clearance.
