Drawing on the Neurosequential Model (Dr Bruce Perry) and Polyvagal Theory (Dr Stephen Porges), the group is structured to support healing from the bottom up—starting with regulation of the body and nervous system, building safety in relationships, and gradually supporting reflection, insight, and resilience. We explore how our nervous systems respond to stress or threat, and how we can use simple, evidence-informed strategies to restore calm and connection.

Service Description

🌿 Safe Trauma: A Gentle Group for Healing Together Safe Trauma is a small, supportive group designed for people who’ve been impacted by trauma and are looking for a gentle, non-judgmental space to begin, or continue, their healing journey. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to share more than you want to. This group meets you where you are. Each session offers a calm, steady space to learn how trauma affects the brain, body, and nervous system, and how we can gently support ourselves back toward a sense of safety, connection, and inner strength. Drawing on the Neurosequential Model (Dr. Bruce Perry) and Polyvagal Theory (Dr. Stephen Porges), the group is structured to support healing from the bottom up, starting with regulation of the body and nervous system, building safety in relationships, and gradually supporting reflection, insight, and resilience. We explore how our nervous systems respond to stress or threat, and how we can use simple, evidence-informed strategies to restore calm and connection. Grounded in trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and emotion regulation, the group includes calm discussions, optional body-based practices (like grounding and breathwork), and shared moments of understanding. Together, we gently explore how to: ✅ Manage emotional overwhelm and triggers ✅ Support and regulate your nervous system ✅ Build inner strength, trust, and self-compassion ✅ Feel less alone with your experiences ✅ Reconnect with a sense of who you are, beyond trauma Whether your trauma feels recent, far away, or hard to name, Safe Trauma offers a steady, compassionate space where healing can begin to unfold with others who truly get it.
