Does This Sound Familiar?

You might find yourself constantly worrying, finding it hard to switch off, avoiding situations that trigger anxiety or feeling overwhelmed by physical
symptoms such as a racing heart, muscle tension or difficutty sleeping.

Whether your anxiety has developed recently or has been part of your life
for many years, seeking support is often the first step towards feeling
more in control.

Understanding Anxiety

Anxiety is the body's natural response to perceived threat. While it can be
helpful in genuinely dangerous situations, it can become unhelpful when it
persists, feels overwhelming or begins limiting everyday life.

Effective therapy helps you understand the patterns that maintain anxiety
while developing practical skills to respond differently.

The good news is that the anxiety cycle can be interrupted.
Therapy helps you recognise these patterns and develop
new ways of responding that reduce anxiety over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anxiety be treated?

Yes. Anxiety is highly treatable. Evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT can help you understand your anxiety, develop coping strategies and reduce its impact on daily life.

What types of anxiety do you treat?

We support adults experiencing generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, health anxiety, OCD-related concerns, phobias and stress-related anxiety.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book an appointment without a referral. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate, you'll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.

Can anxiety occur alongside other conditions?

Yes. Anxiety often occurs alongside conditions such as depression, trauma, OCD and ADHD. Your psychologist will tailor treatment to your individual needs.

What if I've lived with anxiety for years?

It's never too late to seek support. Many people benefit from therapy, even after living with anxiety for years, and can develop effective ways to manage their symptoms.
