Registered Psychologist
Humaira is a warm, compassionate, and approachable psychologist who is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Psychology (Professional) from Curtin University and works with individuals across the lifespan, welcoming people from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds. Humaira has a particular interest in supporting clients from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including those from Islamic faith backgrounds, and understands the importance of providing therapy that is both culturally responsive and individually tailored.
Humaira works with clients experiencing a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, low self-esteem, and relationship or interpersonal difficulties. She also enjoys working with individuals who are navigating questions of identity, life transitions, emotional wellbeing, or longstanding patterns that may be impacting their relationships, confidence, or quality of life. Her therapeutic style encourages curiosity, self-understanding, and practical change, helping clients develop greater insight while building the skills needed to move forward.
In addition, Humaira has experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Autism. She recognises that every person's experiences and strengths are unique and works collaboratively with clients to develop strategies that are meaningful, practical, and aligned with their goals.
Humaira's approach to therapy is thoughtful, collaborative, and client-centred. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change and strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable exploring both current challenges and deeper underlying patterns. Drawing on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and behavioural interventions, she tailors treatment to each individual's needs, preferences, and values.
Above all, Humaira is passionate about helping people build resilience, develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their relationships, and create lasting, meaningful change that supports a richer and more fulfilling life.
